Alumni visit local high schools to recruit for BC

College fairs are happening all over, and who better to tell inquiring high school students about the college experience than alumni? Over the past several weeks Bloomfield College alumni have been visiting area high schools during college fairs to answer questions and give interested high school students and their families the inside story about attending Bloomfield College.

The admission staff was enthusiastic about having the alumni represent Bloomfield College at the high schools.  “This is definitely a big help to the admissions staff as we are stretched thin during the college fair season,” says Nicole Cibelli, director of admission. “Having a team of both younger and older alumni is great because the younger alumni can talk to the students about the college while the older alumni can tell some great stories, especially about their success as a BC graduate.”

Romeo Romulus ’09 enjoyed representing BC at the Clifton H.S. college fair.  "All in all, it was a great experience to talk to some of the students about my college experience," he wrote in a follow-up report to Assistant Director of Admission Dan Mendoza.

Alumni who are interested in becoming representatives for the College at admission events should contact Dan Mendoza at daniel_mendoza@bloomfield.edu.
